Questions

Is Gino free?

Gino is free for teachers and students. Everyone else gets 25 free minutes a day, then can add hours or get an unlimited monthly or yearly pass. The meter only runs while music plays, and passes never renew automatically.

Do I need an account or an app?

No. Gino runs in your web browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. There's nothing to install and no account to create.

Does the music repeat?

No. The music is generated live in your browser, so it never loops or plays the same thing twice.

What is the focus pulse?

A fast, subtle rhythm in the volume of the music, inspired by published research on rhythmic modulation and attention. You can turn it up, down, or off.

What Hz is the music?

Each room has its own focus pulse rate, the speed of the subtle rhythm in the volume: Work 16 Hz, Class 12 Hz, Studio 10 Hz, Game day 18 Hz, and Sleep 2 Hz. Tempos are Work 120 BPM, Class 84, Studio 100, Game day 128, and Sleep 60. The notes themselves use standard tuning (A = 440 Hz), and you can turn the focus pulse down or off with the slider.

Can I install Gino like an app?

Yes. On iPhone, open ginofocus.com in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android or in Chrome on a computer, use the browser menu and choose Install. It opens full screen with its own icon and works even with spotty Wi-Fi once it has loaded.

Are there keyboard shortcuts?

On a computer: Space plays and pauses, keys 1 to 5 switch rooms (Work, Class, Studio, Game day, Sleep), F opens full screen focus mode, and B starts a breathing reset.

Is Gino safe for schools?

Yes. Students never sign up or share personal information, there are no ads, and teachers can run it from one screen for the whole class.

Can coaches use it at practice?

Yes. The Game day room has driving warmup music, box breathing, and a 2½-minute eye warmup, and full-screen mode works on a team speaker or gym screen.
